Manufacturing operations are at or near capacity. As COVID-19 continues to transpire, the foodservice industry is experiencing negative repercussions at this time in 2020. Mid- Atlantic manufacturing plants are receiving higher milk supplies this week. Milk output is growing at a steady rate. Southeast milk production is slightly growing. Milk distributors are receiving massive milk cuts, as the demand for Class I has taken a downturn. Manufacturing plants are full. Florida milk production is up and close to its peak. Class I sales in the foodservice sector have dropped, as educational institutions and numerous restaurants are shut down. Retail sales are the opposite, as consumers are able to purchase milk products at various grocers. Cream markets are depressed in the East. Several manufacturers are at capacity and do not have enough space to take extra cream. Cream supplies are outweighing current demand. Condensed skim markets are feeling a negative impact as supplies are surpassing manufacturers’ immediate needs.
