Harvest is nearing completion for the season. Demand was moderate. The preliminary National Agricultural Statistics Service report for the 2019 season reports that Texas produced 42,600,000 pounds of pecans (36,400,000 improved varieties, 6,200,000 Natives/Seedlings). The weather forecast this week calls for high temperatures from the mid-40s to the mid-70s and low temperatures from the low 30s to the low 60s. There is as high as a 40 percent chance of precipitation on Thursday, January 30 and Friday, January 31.
