PECANS PRICES PAID TO GROWERS

TEXAS (Central, South, Eastern Areas) 


Deliveries by growers to delivery points was very light. Harvest is nearing 
completion for the season. Demand was moderate.

The preliminary National Agricultural Statistics Service report for the 2019 
season reports that Texas produced 42,600,000 pounds of pecans (36,400,000 
improved varieties, 6,200,000 Natives/Seedlings).

The weather forecast this week calls for high temperatures from the mid-40s 
to the mid-70s and low temperatures from the low 30s to the low 60s. There 
is as high as a 40 percent chance of precipitation on Thursday, January 30 
and Friday, January 31. 
 
Prices paid to growers (from noon Tuesday, January 21, 2020 through noon 
Tuesday, January 28, 2020) at buyers delivery point or F.O.B. the orchard 
including direct sales to end users, cents per pound, in-shell of generally 
good quality in lots of 20,000 pounds or less unless otherwise stated.
 
Natives/Seedlings (deliveries very light) yard tree lots 70-100 mostly 75-90 
occasional higher and lower
