Each stockyard owner and market agency operating at a posted stockyard must file with the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service a schedule of rates and charges, or tariff, and must post the schedule at the stockyard. Each tariff must include a description of the stockyard services rendered, the stockyard at which it applies, the name and address of the stockyard owner or market agency, the kind of livestock covered, and any rules or regulations that may affect any rate or charge. If applicable, the tariff also must include feed charges, if any, and charges for professional veterinary service rendered.
Tariffs are public records. If you would like a copy of a tariff, please contact the Packers and Stockyards Division regional office covering the state where the market facility is located.
