FGISonline is a portfolio of online business applications which brings official inspection and weighing processes to the desktop. These online business services improve the Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS)/Federal Grain Inspection (FGIS) internal business operations and better serve the users and customers of AMS/FGIS. All users must maintain an active USDA eAuthentication account in order to gain and maintain access to the system.

Use this module to set up your MyFGIS account and manage the information used by FGIS. Using this program, you can request an official MyFGIS number; manage access requests; manage roles for your organization users; manage location information; and link to your FGIS financial accounts. This module will allow a person, with the proper credentials, to provide access to users in your organization by supplying them with your MyFGIS number and directing them to request access through this module. To ensure security of your information and maintain compliance with USDA regulations, all roles are granted in increments of ninety days.
Delegation/Designation and Export Registration
Use this module after receiving an FGIS organization number to file various applications for that organization. State and private entities can apply online to become official service providers. Grain firms can meet their annual filing requirements for registering as an exporter.
Use this module after receiving an FGIS organization number to view your individual service records, or arrange for daily data transmissions of inspection and weighing records. You must supply your official service provider with your FGIS organization number and request them to include it with their service records. The database contains the inspection and weighing records for services officially performed under the United States Grain Standards Act (USGSA) and the Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946 (AMA) (pdf).
FGIS official service providers use this module to produce electronic or paper official inspection and weighing certificates. This module feeds data into our Inspection Data Warehouse.
If you have an official USDA FGIS certificate, you can validate the contents via public search within the Inspection Data Warehouse module. Key information from the certificate is required to perform this search.
FGIS official service providers use this module to record information on equipment used for the testing of grain quality, and its location, for the purposes of notifying, submitting, and capturing test results conducted to validate the equipment's capability to accurately perform its function.
This module is used to administer the licensing and authorization of official personnel. It is the authoritative record of license numbers, licensed functions and licensing exams for inspectors, samplers, technicians, and weighers who perform official functions under the USGSA and/or AMA.
Inspection, Testing, and Weighing
FGIS official service providers use this module to capture testing and weighing results for grain, rice, pulses, graded commodities, and processed commodities, single and aggregate lot inspection (combined, warehouse, local, composite, round, and cu-sum) for carrier types including: railcars, containers, trucks, ships, and barges.
FGIS official service providers use this module to enter data, access results, and track inspector performance and ability, with immediate statistical information to measure the performance of the official grain inspection system.
