- Animal Handling - Seaboard Foods is committed to the proper in-plant handling of animals prior to slaughter for both animal welfare and meat quality reasons. Ongoing, daily animal handling plant audits and employee training ensure proper animal treatment.
- Source Verification - Pork products can be traced back to source farms through a source verification system.
- PQA Plus Pork Export Verification (EV) Program - pork is derived from animals that were raised under the requirements of the Pork Quality Assurance (PQA) Plus Program, administered by the National Pork Board (NPB). Also, product is produced to meet the export requirements of selected countries supplied under the PQA Plus Pork Export Verification Program.
- Never Fed Beta Agonists Program - Seaboard supplies customers with products from animals never fed beta agonist. Product can be used domestically or for export to those countries requiring beta agonist free products (USDA Never Fed Beta Agonists Program).
