Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska LFPA Plus Executive Summary

The Ioway Regenerative and Climate Smart Agriculture Food Access and Sovereignty Program (RCSA - FASP) (the “program”) serves the purpose to preserve and steward the resiliency of our local food system through the purchase and distribution of locally grown foods to our local community members. Distribution will include community members in our service area which includes Brown County and Doniphan County in Northeast Kansas and Richardson County in Southeast Nebraska.

In addition, the RCSA-FASP program will:

  • Create marketing opportunities for community members who harvest, produce, and process food products,
  • Increase the availability of nourishing food to community members, and
  • Encourage best practices for regenerative agricultural practices to preserve and protect tribal lands.
