USDA Cattle and Carcass Training Centers

the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) established three regional Cattle and Carcass Grading Correlation Training Centers (aka Cattle and Carcass Training Centers, or just Training Centers) in cooperation with the University of Nebraska – Lincoln , Colorado State University, and West Texas A&M University. The purpose of these Centers is to collaborate with industry and academia in providing educational and training opportunities to stakeholders interested in the official quality grading of feeder cattle, fed cattle, and beef carcasses in the United States. In collaboration with these partners, AMS seeks to provide a variety of educational resources, events, and projects to support the beef industry’s knowledge and understanding of the cattle delivery system and the roles that producers, feeders, processors, and USDA play in bringing high quality American beef to market.
