The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) announces that the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries and the Washington State Department of Agriculture are certified to provide official inspection services at export port locations under delegated authority of the United States Grain Standards Act (USGSA).
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) today announced it will conduct a referendum Oct. 28 – Nov. 18, 2024, among Oregon and Washington hazelnut growers to determine their level of support for continuing their federal marketing order. To be eligible to vote, growers must have produced hazelnuts within the designated production area during the period of July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024.

Dates: The referendum will be conducted from October 28 through November 18, 2024. Only current hazelnut growers who have grown hazelnuts within the designated production area during the period July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024, are eligible to vote in this referendum.
