In order to grow hemp, you must have a hemp license. You cannot grow hemp without a license. In general, you must get your hemp license from the State or Tribe you wish to grow hemp in. Please visit the state’s website below to get your application for a license and to view licensing requirements.
USDA Seeks Organizations to Nominate Members to the American Lamb Board
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is accepting applications from lamb producers, seedstock producers, feeders or first handler organizations interested in nominating members to the American Lamb Board (Board). Applications are due by March 13, 2023.
State, regional or national organizations that wish to participate in nominating individuals for Board membership must meet the following criteria:

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is accepting applications from state cattle associations or state general farm organizations interested in nominating beef, dairy or veal producers or importers to the Cattlemen’s Beef Promotion and Research Board (Board). Applications are due by March 13, 2023.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is accepting applications from sorghum associations and farm organizations interested in nominating sorghum producers to the United Sorghum Checkoff Program Board (Board). Applications are due by March 13, 2023.
State, regional or national organizations that wish to participate in nominating individuals for Board membership must be one of the following:
USDA Seeks Nominees for National Watermelon Promotion Board
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is seeking nominations of qualified watermelon producers, handlers, importers, and one public member for nine seats on the National Watermelon Promotion Board. The Secretary of Agriculture will appoint individuals to succeed members whose terms of office expire on Dec. 31, 2023. Appointed members will serve three-year terms.
Nominees are needed to fill two producer seats and two handler seats for District 1, which is the State of Florida. Nominees are also needed to fill four importer seats and one public member seat.
Guidance on Payment Options: Reimbursements and Advance Payments
Two options are available for recipients to receive payments in the Local Food for Schools Cooperative Agreement Program (LFS): Reimbursements or Advance Payments. For both options, the request must be made by submitting a claim in ezFedGrants. Claims are reviewed by the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service within 5 business days of receipt. Once reviewed and approved, payments will be made via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to the bank account specified by the recipient in SAM.gov.
