The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) today announced the appointment of 40 members to serve on the Cattlemen’s Beef Promotion and Research Board. Thirty-nine members will serve three-year terms and one member will serve a one-year term. The term of board members appointed to three-year terms start February 2023 and end February 2026.

Purchases will be made under the authority of Section 32 of the Act of August 24, 1935, with the purpose to encourage the continued domestic consumption of these products by diverting them from the normal channels of trade and commerce.

Tribal lands include 8 communities that extend across ten rural MS counties with MBCI Tribal headquarters located in Choctaw, MS. MBCI will contract with Choctaw Fresh Produce (CFP) for the purchase of fresh produce. CFP is a non-profit organization and USDA GAP-certified organic farm also located in Choctaw, MS.
